About Golden and Grey

Illustration has been at the heart of Debra’s work from a very young age. She has had the privilege of investigating illustration in many forms. Her concentration of study in art school was book-making and publishing where she focused on printing making. She went on to study jewelry design at RISD where she formed her drawings in silver. After graduating college with a BFA she discovered ceramics. It just made sense to use the formed clay as a functional canvas for her illustrated work. Her passion for these combined mediums grows daily as she stretches the limits of each.   Tales of the High Seas and Beyond, each piece tells a story.
